SUMMARY:The economics of hope
DESCRIPTION:This ‘Joy in Enough’ one day conference is sponsored by Green Christian\, A Rocha and SPEAK. \nWith escalating environmental loss\, inequality and debt\, our current economic model is in ‘system failure’.   We believe there is an alternative\, and we dare to believe it can be realised. As Christians\, we are challenged from the roots of our faith to propose a new economic purpose – joy in enough for all\, within Earth’s limits and in reverence for our own creaturehood.  But we must start by rescuing economics from its captivity. \nKeynote speakers  are\nMolly Scott-Cato – MEP for South West England who speaks for the Green Party on finance.\nand\nJonathan Rowson  – Director of the Social Brain Centre at the Royal Society of Arts\, where he is conducting research on spirituality\, neurology\, social change and the environment. \nIn addition there will be seven workshops on a variety of related themes including ‘Measuring Progress’ which will be lead by Andy Lester – A Rocha UK Conservation Director. \nFor further information and to book a place please visit this event’s website. \n
