SUMMARY:Re-visioning the World
DESCRIPTION:‘What is needed in the current environmental crisis is not so much an agreed cap on carbon emissions (important though that may be for the future of our planet)\, but a radical reorientation of the way we understand ourselves in relation to the natural world around us\, something akin to a spiritual revolution’\nSir Jonathan Porritt\, co-founder of Friends of the Earth.\n\nThis weekend at the Friary entitled ‘Re-visioning the World’ will be exploring what this ‘radical re-orientation/spiritual revolution’ might mean for the way we think\, live\, work\, recreate and pray in\nrelation to the world around us. It is led by Sir Ghillean Prance\, eminent former Director of Kew and world authority on the ecology of the Amazonian rainforest; Andy Lester\, Conservation Director of A Rocha\, and Br Samuel\, Guardian of the Hilfield Community which seeks to live and promote an integrated ecology\, one which is environmental\, social and spiritual. If you are looking and longing for change in our relation to the world\, come and share this weekend with us.\n\nFurther details and booking details are available on the Hilfield Friary website.\n
