SUMMARY:Hope in a changing climate
DESCRIPTION:\nRESTORED CREATION \nA Rocha UK is a partner behind this 2016 Ecumenical World Development Conference.    Churches And Theology Director Dr Ruth Valerio (pictured) will be one of the speakers at the two-day event. \nRuth will give an introduction to A Rocha UK’s environmental award scheme Eco Church. She will also lead a workshop on her new book ‘Just Living – Faith And Community In An Age Of Consumerism’. \nAt the Paris conference in December 2015\, 195 countries agreed to limit global warming to well below 2°C. That agreement is due to enter into force in 2020. The Ecumenical World Development Conference believes it’s vital the Church continues to play a role in the response.  Delegates will explore how churches can work for a vision of a restored creation. Other speakers include – leading climate scientist Myles Allen\, theologians Michael Northcott and Rosalind Selby\, and church leaders Jo Herbert and Bishop Graham Usher. Andy Flannagan is leading worship. \nChurch activists will converge on Coventry Central Hall  to plan how their communities should put the Paris talks into action  and A Rocha UK supporters can join them by booking here. \n\n
