SUMMARY:Food for Thought
DESCRIPTION:A retreat at Scargill House led by Andy Lester\, Conservation Director for A Rocha UK\, and Dave Bookless\, Director of Theology for A Rocha International.\nFood is a vital part of everyday life\, for human beings and for wildlife. But demand for food is outstripping our ability to supply it. Our lives are increasingly unsustainable. We are hurting ourselves and hurting the earth. But there is real hope. There are examples of incredible people doing amazing things with food\, and the Bible gives us signposts of how God intended us to relate to what we eat and to our wider environment. This retreat will take a fresh look at what and how we eat. It will consider the impacts of our decisions on the future of our planet and provide some practical and theological tools to re-discover a Christ-centred relationship with our food. \nFind out more and book. \n
